Afropolitan founding citizen Abdul Abdullah is a co-founder of Afrofuture (formerly Afrochella), a platform that promotes and celebrates the diverse culture and creativity of the African diaspora. Afrofuture is a celebration of the music, cuisine, arts, and culture of the African Diaspora. The festival, which takes place in Accra, Ghana, has received recognition from publications like Essence, TIDAL, CNN Travel, and Okay Africa.

In addition to providing a platform for guests to enjoy the festival, the Afrofuture movement has also created space for African trailblazers around the world to share their talents through #AfrochellaTalks and expanded through philanthropy initiatives like #AfrochellaReads and #AfrochellaGiveBack, which allow Afrofuture to raise funds and reopen schools for underprivileged communities in Ghana.
